อ่ะ ถ้าเรานัดเพื่อนๆ ไว้ แต่ด้วยสภาพการจราจรแบบนี้เนอะ เป็นใครก็ไปเลทกันแหละค่ะ งั้นถ้าเรานัดเพื่อนชาวต่างชาติ เราจะพูดกับเค้าว่าอย่างไรดีคะ?
ถ้าเพื่อนๆ นึกตามที่เรียน “I - ฉัน” / “go - ไป” / “ฉันกำลังไป” - “I’m going to” คำตอบคือ “ผิด!!” ค่ะ เพราะเราใช้ “I’m going to” ในเวลาที่เราจะตอบใครซักคนว่า เรากำลังจะไปไหน “going to” หมายถึง “จะไป” ค่ะ อ้าววว แล้วจะพูดอย่างไรให้ชาวต่างชาติเข้าใจว่า “กำลังไป”
ให้ใช้คำนี้เลย “I’m on the way.” อันนี้ทั่วๆ ไปนะคะ หรือถ้าจะพูดวิธีอื่นๆ ก็จะบอกว่า “I’m on my way.” ย่อๆ ว่า “On my way.” นอกจากนี้ “I’m coming.” “I’m coming now.” ก็ได้ค่ะ หรือพูดว่า "I'm almost there." แปลประมาณว่า “จะถึงแล้ว” นั่นเองค่ะ
นอกจากนี้ ถ้าอยากจะระบุเวลาว่า จะถึงภายใน..... นาที สามารถพูดได้ว่า "I'll be there in ........" เช่น จะถึงใน 5 นาที ก็พูดว่า "I'll be there in 5 mins." หรือใช้ "See you in 5 mins" ก็ได้ค่ะ ง่ายๆ ดี ลองใช้กันดูนะคะ ง่ายมากๆ เลย
